Young people helping to shape our services
The Youth Support Team cares and values the voice of young people particularly in relation to the services we provide. We continually work to provide opportunities for the young people we work with to shape and inform the services we provide to help us to improve and develop those services. We do this in several ways.
Feedback Fortnight is just one of the mechanisms we use to gather feedback from young people. We run these 4 times a year and involves asking young people to complete an anonymous questionnaire during or after a meeting with one of our practitioners. The questions concentrate on the young person’s perceptions of and satisfaction with the service and support that they have received. They can complete it online or as a paper survey.
During our most recent Feedback Fortnight we received most of our responses from our NEET cohort – young people who are currently not in Education, Employment or Training. Well done our NEET team.
Here are some of our favourite quotes from the questionnaire this time:
Working well together and trusting each other”
The 6 week plan is helpful to know what we will be working on”
They don’t give up”
I wasn’t expecting a lot but the support has shown me that it’s OK to ask for help”
You don't have to wait for the next Feedback Fortnight to tell us what you think:
- Click HERE > if you've used our services and would like to complete the survey online OR email us and we can send you a copy to fill in or drop in to one of our centres and say you'd like to get involved.
- If you're a professional or a parent/carer who knows young people we've worked with, maybe you could encourage them to complete the survey?
