Frankie wins Young Person of the Year

Frankie won Young Person of the Year at the Fair Shares Community Awards. Frankie has been part of Fair Shares for over three years, initially joining as part of the Young People’s Project supported by Gloucestershire Youth Support Team. She gives her time to get involved with endless amounts of practical projects such as varnishing the office at the City Farm, building flag poles for the Gloucester Services, tidying up gardens at residential homes to even helping set up Fair Shares new offices at Chequers.

Having donated her time Frankie then moved on to helping in the Fair Shares office through a traineeship programme. She initially took on the job of providing admin support but everyone soon realised just how talented and capable she was with computers. It didn’t take long before she was single handedly in charge of media and social networking and if anyone had a problem with computers Frankie was the one to figure out a solution. Now an important part of the team, Frankie still gives her time to get involved with things outside of her immediate work.
