Proud to share our good practice.
On Friday 10th September, we were very pleased to welcome our visitors, Alex Chalk, MP for Cheltenham and Nick Evans, deputy Police & Crime Commissioner for Gloucestershire, to our Whaddon centre.
Our Operations Director, Kat Aukett, shared a presentation about how our service operates and fits within the Shaw Trust groups and is delivered on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council.
Following the presentation, the visitors were introduced to a variety of managers and practioners from across the service. In a 'speed dating' style, the visitors spent time at different tables hearing from our teams about the work we do with young people across Gloucestershire.
We were particularly keen to communicate how the interconnectivity of our work means young people get the help they need, when they need it in ways that are responsive to them, their families and their communities.
Nick Evans, deputy PCC, said later on Twitter:
Well what a fantastic team, who are doing excellent work for young people in the County, leading on early intervention and diversion. Thanks for a fab briefing session and great to meet so many of the team".
