High 5 Job Opportunity with YST

We have recently received a small amount of funding to run some holiday hunger sessions during the school holidays.

Holiday hunger refers to the fact that many children, who can access free school meals during term time, go hungry during school holidays as families struggle to make ends meet. You can read more here >

The YST will offer a programme of sessions that will support those families that struggle to find the additional financial resource to provide healthy breakfast, lunches and dinners, and aims to empower them to manage the pressures associated with family nutrition, finances and well-being, as well as providing an opportunity for socialising with others and activities within their local community.

To deliver the sessions we are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator to support the development and delivery of this new programme within Gloucestershire. The role will involve recruiting, training and supporting a team of volunteers to deliver a 5-day programme within the School holidays, providing a nutritious breakfast and lunch, as well as fun learning activities, for children (5 to 11 year olds) and their parents/carers. It is initially a fixed-term position (12-months). If you or anyone you know might be interested in the role please click on/share the link below to find out more and to apply.

Once a coordinator is in post we'll be also recruiting volunteers to help us run the sessions - if you're interested in those positions contact us now at info.glos@prospects.co.uk
