Employability Day: Covid-19 and accessible employment support live stream

Employability Day is the UK's largest celebration for organisations supporting people to gain, sustain and progress in work.

This year due to the Covid-19 pandemic we (the Shaw Trust) are holding a live virtual event where we'll look at how the pandemic has impacted the delivery of employment services. We'll also discuss how Shaw Trust have adapted to the pandemic and how we and other organisations are adapting to the new 'normal.'

As well as sharing our own expertise and innovations we are thrilled to be joined by Dr Nancy Doyle, a Chartered Psychologist, Research Fellow with Birkbeck University and the CEO / Founder of Genius Within CIC who will speak about the social model of disability and Covid-19.

There will also be opportunity to hear from employers, including Tesco and Integral UK on how the pandemic is impacting their employment requirements. The event will concluded with a video from our supply chain partners on the future of digital delivery.

There will be opportunity for questions and answer sessions during the event. We look forward to you joining us on the 26th!

Coronavirus update for YST services

At Gloucestershire Youth Support Team our priority is the safety and well being of the young people we work with and the staff that work so hard to support them.

As the national lock down restrictions are lifting, we are now returning to more face to face delivery, including some group work and events. We will be continuing to deliver virtual contact. Please be assured that we are ensuring that precautions to keep people safe are maintained in all spaces.

We know these are uncertain times and some people are experiencing heightened concerns. If you are worried please speak to your contact within the YST or contact us at info.glos@prospects.co.uk.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
